Buckling Behavior of Thin-Walled Stainless-Steel Lining Wrapped in Water-Supply Pipe under Negative Pressure

This paper presents a study about the buckling behavior of thin stainless-steel lining (SSL) for trenchless repair urban water supply networks under negative pressure. The critical pressure and displacement (p–δ) curves, temperature changing hoop axial strain monitoring section changes with system (p–ε) action different diameters, wall thickness ventilation modes were obtained through five groups full-scale tests. variation principles post-buckling reduction regularity flowing further investigated. By comparing pipeline models introducing thin-shell theory, model liner supported by existing pipe was established. comparison between test results theory indicates that one significances enhancement coefficient k value is to change constraint condition aspect ratio, l/R, thus increasing lining. Finally, an improved prediction (enhancement model) presented. A previous used as case showing enhanced able predict lobe-starting amount liner, which can provide guidance restoration thin-walled stainless steel.
